Accessibility Statement

This accessibility statement covers the QURIS V3 platform, run by Tactuum. We are committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We continually improve the user experience for everyone and apply the relevant accessibility standards.

We want as many people as possible to be able to use the websites and apps built on the QURIS platform. For example, that means you should be able to:

  • Navigate most of the QURIS platform and the websites built on it using just a keyboard.

  • Navigate most of the QURIS platform and the websites built on it using speech recognition software.

  • Listen to most of the QURIS platform and the websites built on it using a screen reader (including the most recent versions of JAWS, NVDA, and VoiceOver).

The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) define requirements for designers and developers to improve accessibility for people with disabilities. They define three levels of conformance: Level A, Level AA, and Level AAA.

The QURIS V3 platform is conformant with WCAG 2.2 Level AA. Conformant means that some parts of the content do not fully conform to the accessibility standard. The areas of partial conformance are detailed in Section 3 below.

Due to the nature of the platform, conformance applies to content-managed areas and content-provider-generated documents, for which guidance and responsibility is outlined in Section 3.

The following known limitations have been identified in the QURIS V3 platform. We are actively working to address these and will update this statement as improvements are made.

Impact: This text names the image rather than describing it or conveying its purpose, so screen reader users receive no useful information about the image content.

Workaround: Content providers can replace the default text with a meaningful description, or mark the image as decorative where it carries no information.

Target resolution: [release / date].

2.2 Heading order on listing pages

Component affected: The listing section of the Listing document type. The heading order skips from Heading 1 to Heading 3 beneath the page title.

Impact: People using a screen reader often navigate by heading level. A missing level makes the page outline harder to follow and can suggest content is missing or misplaced.

Workaround: All content remains reachable by keyboard and by sequential reading; only the heading hierarchy is affected.

Target resolution: [release / date].

If you encounter an issue not listed here, please contact us using the details in Section 4.

As the QURIS V3 platform includes a content management system, there may be instances where content-provider-generated content does not yet meet accessibility standards. We provide guidance and support to assist content providers in ensuring that all content published on websites and apps built on the QURIS platform is as accessible as possible.

The responsibility to ensure that content-provider-generated content conforms to WCAG 2.2 Level AA lies with the content provider. Tactuum provides tooling within the QURIS V3 CMS to assist with this — see Section 5 for details.

We provide guidance and support to assist content providers in ensuring that any new PDFs or Word documents they publish meet accessibility standards. Legacy documents published prior to the introduction of QURIS V3 may not fully conform. Content providers are encouraged to review and remediate these documents where possible.

Third-party documents not authored or controlled by Tactuum are outside the scope of this statement.

We are always looking to improve the accessibility of the QURIS platform. If you find any problems not listed in this statement, or believe we are not meeting accessibility requirements, please contact us:

We aim to respond to all accessibility-related contact requests within 5 working days.

If you are not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Equality and Human Rights Commission (EHRC) who are responsible for enforcing the Equality Act 2010 in Great Britain. If you are in Northern Ireland and are not happy with our response, contact the Equality Commission for Northern Ireland (ECNI).

We constantly review and enhance the QURIS platform to improve accessibility. The following activities form part of our ongoing commitment:

  • Ensuring only web-safe, accessible colours with sufficient contrast ratios are used throughout the platform.

  • Providing appropriate alternative text attributes on all meaningful images.

  • Ensuring all links have descriptive, contextually meaningful text.

  • Ensuring link behaviour (including external links and file downloads) is clearly communicated to users.

  • Ensuring main page content is easy to navigate using skip links and ARIA landmark regions.

  • Ensuring text is legible, scalable, and readable at up to 200% zoom without loss of content or functionality.

QURIS V3 introduces a significantly enhanced testing approach compared to previous versions:

  • WAVE (Web Accessibility Evaluation Tool): Automated accessibility scanning is integrated into the V3 release process using WAVE, identifying issues such as missing labels, contrast failures, and structural errors.

  • AI-Assisted Testing: QURIS V3 uses AI-powered tooling to supplement automated testing, helping to identify context-dependent accessibility issues that rule-based tools may miss, such as ambiguous link text or inadequate alternative text descriptions.

  • Built-in CMS Accessibility Tools: The QURIS V3 content management system includes custom accessibility checking tools available directly to content providers. These tools provide real-time guidance and warnings when content does not meet accessibility standards, helping to prevent non-conformant content from being published.

  • Internal Testing: Our internal test teams conduct structured accessibility reviews covering text legibility, colour contrast, content accessibility, content navigation, and context of use.

This statement was prepared on 23/09/2026. It was last reviewed on 24/09/2026.

The QURIS V3 platform was last tested on 24/09/2026 by our internal test teams, using WAVE automated scanning, AI-assisted analysis, and manual review with assistive technologies including JAWS, NVDA, and VoiceOver.

We will continue to update this statement in line with any future accessibility enhancements made to the platform. This statement will be reviewed at least annually, or following any significant platform update.
